All samples that have been requested are to be handed into reception before 11:30 each weekday. This is to ensure the clinicians have time to process the sample before collection from the Laboratory staff. We are not able to hold any samples over night as this does effect the results of the testing and you will be asked to repeat this sample.
You will be required to use the correct sample pot, if you are unsure of what you need to use please ask one of our Receptionists who will happily assist you. Unfortunately if you do not use the correct container we may have to reject your sample and request you repeat this using the correct sample container.
You may be asked to complete a form when you arrive at the surgery to provide more details on why the sample has been requested.
